- We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Technical Agronomist to drive the success of our apple nursery, orchards, and flower production. This role requires an individual with a strong background in horticulture or agronomy, specifically in apple cultivation and flower production. The Technical Agronomist will not only oversee crop management but also play a vital role in educating and training local farmers.
Key Responsibilities:
Crop Management:
Provide expert advice on the cultivation and management of apple plants and flowers.
Develop and implement best practices for planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and disease management.
Research and Development:
Conduct research on varietal development, soil health, and sustainable farming practices.
Collaborate with scientific and research institutions for advanced apple and flower cultivation techniques.
Quality Control:
Monitor crop development and implement strategies to ensure high-quality produce.
Conduct soil and tissue analysis to optimize plant health and productivity.
Training and Farmer Education:
Lead training programs for farm staff and local farmers on modern agronomic practices.
Develop and disseminate educational materials, and conduct workshops or seminars to enhance farmer knowledge and skills.
Innovation and Technology:
Integrate new technologies and practices in horticulture for improved efficiency and sustainability.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in apple and flower cultivation.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare comprehensive reports on crop management, research findings, and training activities.
Maintain accurate records of agricultural practices and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
Extensive experience in horticulture or agronomy, particularly with apple orchards and flower production.
In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, and sustainable farming practices.
Proficient in data analysis and strong analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate farmers.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
Flexibility to work in various field environments and adapt to seasonal changes.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: ₹15,000.00 – ₹30,000.00 per month
